Make a Difference - our latest publication

Creativity at the heart of learning Creativity is not just a skill associated with the arts. It’s at the heart of everything we do. It gives us the ability to question, make connections and take  innovative and imaginative approaches to problem solving. In short, all the skills demanded by today’s employers. Creative Futures Cumbria has been established as a charity since 1992. We provide opportunities for Cumbrian children, young people and their families to work with creative professionals from different art forms and disciplines.

Creativity changes attitudes and perceptions As well as making learning enjoyable and  accessible, these experiences provide individuals with an overall sense of achievement and well being. Working with a creative practitioner can make a real and lasting difference to people’s lives by changing their attitudes to learning, their perception of their own abilities and their awareness of a wider range of employment opportunities. This booklet provides examples of some of our results and outlines how we can support you to develop more of these valuable opportunities.
