'Crow'

Dear Friends,

If you're free next Friday - 5th Feb - do come to The Storey in Lancaster: I'll be performing 'Crow' , a one-hour performance piece starting at 8pm.

It was commissioned last year by Cambridge Storytelling Festival and funded by the Arts Council. It's been performed in London, Newcastle, Manchester and at The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival, but never 'at home' in Lancaster. The piece is a re-storying of the Fylde - weaving three traditional stories around my grandfather's harsh life by the saltmarshes, so it'll be great to tell it in the area it's based in. the write up from Cheltenham says... "Intelligent, ruthless, stark, graceful… crows haunt both our outer and inner landscapes. Dominic Kelly weaves stories of these black-feathered tricksters along a northern borderland. Here, in the shadows of his grandfather’s life and the saltmarsh channels, neither crows nor people are quite what they seem."

I'm performing it at The Barbican on 19th Feb, so I'm keen to dust it down at The Storey first - hope to see you there!
